Signs of Life
He's back.
No, it doesn't mean I am back, and that isn't the point. But my grandson has a father and my daughter has her husband. No, it won't make up for the fact that he missed his son's first words, his first steps, his first haircut, his first grown-up food or his first photo with Santa. But, he's back and that is all that matters now. As for me, I don't know. We'll see...

Well, I for one, still checked for a bloggy update at your site regularly. Glad to hear your son-in-law is back home, safe and sound. Hope to be reading more from you soon. ;)
First attempt didn't work so I'll try again.
I know there's no point blogging when your heart's not in it but I live in hope Frank... As I've bemoaned often on my own blog there aren't many men of your generation who have anything to offer those in the generations following them other than misplaced criticism. It's nice to have you around, even if only in a virtual sense
It made my day to see signs of life here again Frank.
a blog as simple as it may be has much more power than most of us are willing to give credit, for the first time in our civilization we can see that we aren't alone in those thoughts that are so very much more difficult to sit down and articulate in a conversation.
It lets us show the world that we have a heart, and that, I think is a mechanism for change, subtle but strong.
